Dwain Chambers Performance Academy (DCPA) Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to each Dwain Chambers Performance Academy (DCPA) athlete
and are consented to by each athlete’s parent or guardian. Changes to these terms and conditions
require written consent, in advance, from DCPA.
- 1. An application for a place at DCPA will only be accepted if accompanied by payment of the relevant fees to DCPA.
- 2. Parents/guardian’s must pay the fees every month by standing order and at the start of every month.
- 3. In the event an athlete joins DCPA in the middle of the month, a PAYG plan will be put in place until the start of the following month, which is when the monthly standing order payment comes out. PAYG payments will be priced at £13.50 per child / per session (plus PAYG rate for £5/session LV entrance).
- 4. The DCPA agreement is a monthly rolling contract, and a parent/guardian must give one month’s written notice before withdrawing the athlete’s place at DCPA. After notice has been given, the parent/guardian must pay the fees for the following month whether the athlete attends DCPA or not. Any fees paid over and above those for the notice period will be refunded.
- 5. Academy fees cannot be refunded in cases where students have missed classes due to holidays, sickness or otherwise. DCPA continues throughout the school holidays, and if an athlete is not able to attend sessions either during the school term or during the holidays, subscription fees are still required. When athletes sign up for the Dwain Chambers Performance Academy, they are allocated a place, which cannot be offered to any other athlete. This provides assurance there will always be a coaching session for them which isn’t resold/reallocated to another athlete.
- 6. If the athlete can’t attend their normal session, that session must be taken in the same week and can’t be transferred to the following week.
- 7. DCPA reserves the right to exclude students from lessons. Please see the separate disciplinary and injury policies for further details.
- 8. DCPA athletes participate at their own risk and are obliged to inform DCPA and its staff of any existing injuries or medical condition.
- 9. DCPA athletes are obliged to take care of their own belongings. DCPA can accept no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
- 10. The liability of DCPA and that of its staff is restricted to academy time only and then only to gross negligence or intent. Failure to carry out an important contractual obligation is governed by the normal standard of a duty of care.
- 11. I give permission for DCPA to hold information/data and be processed under the GDPR as per our privacy policy.
- 12. I give permission to take and use photographs/video of my child for fundraising, publicity or other purposes to help achieve the Group's aims. This includes images taken by third party photographers at events that DCPA attend.
- 13.Athletes leaving DCPA sessions unaccompanied Athletes under the age of 16 should be collected by a responsible adult known to the child after each DCPA session. Parents/guardians/carers need to give written consent that their child is allowed to leave the DCPA session unaccompanied by completing and signing a consent form. Without this formal consent, DCPA will not allow the athlete to leave at the end of the session. If you have more than one child attending DCPA you will need to complete and sign the form for each child.
